What are the advantages of agricultural sprayers?
Agricultural sprayers allow us to work more efficiently, achieve higher performance of the products we use for treatment, and be more accurate when applying them to plants or trees. Today, they are the basis of all types of agriculture, especially in conservation, integrated or ecological agriculture.
An agricultural sprayer is a high-precision machine that can also be defined as a hydropneumatic sprayer. That means it uses pressure to create the treatment droplets: the pump creates the pressure needed to form them, then the airflow created by the impeller surrounds all those droplets and brings them to the plants to be treated.
These machines can be lifted mounted on or pulled by a tractor and can generate airflows between 20.000 and 145.000 cubic meters per hour. Furthermore, with them, you will be able to manage between 350 and 3.500 liters of product per hectare, which gives you an idea of the dosing capacity they offer.
Precisely, this is one of its strengths, quantifying the product, which is the most important for better performance. Another significant advantage of sprayers is that thanks to their nozzle concept, they allow us to process in a very concentrated way, minimizing product drift and evaporation in extremely warm weather conditions.
It must also outline its ability to produce very tiny droplets, between 100 and 400 microns, and the fast speed at which they work, capable of reaching speeds of up to 10 km/h on average in the field. The combination of atmospheric air flow, far focus treatment, slightly faster working speeds, and tiny droplets make the sprayer ideal for deep penetration of phytosanitary products into cultures. The airflow agitates the plant and all its parts are treated in a uniform manner, increasing the effectiveness of the treatment and reducing its impact on the environment.
